17 Days

This is a 17-Day Fully Escorted, Land-only Tour. (Note: due to crossing the International Dateline, participants coming from the Americas need to depart the day before the tour starts.) We will meet you upon arrival at either Narita or Haneda Airport and get you checked into your hotel. Specific activities begin the day after you arrive.

Lodging

Double or Twin Occupancy, mainly 4-star Hotels, for 16 nights, breakfast included.

Transport

All transportation as required for our itinerary within Japan, including a 14-Day Japan Rail Pass allowing us to ride trains, buses, and Shinkansen (Bullet Trains). Taxis and boats also included. You get yourself to Japan and we’ll pick you up at the airport and take it from there.

Meals

Breakfast included at hotels, plus one other meal (Lunch or Dinner) every day except arrival and departure days.

Activities & Fees

Entrance fees included for all scheduled attractions, museums, craft experiences, and costs of local guides/artisans. Highlights include Yanagi’s seminal Folk Craft Museum; the Mashiko pottery district (where Hamada worked); Noguchi’s Garden Museum, Ando’s Chichu Museum, the famed Roan-Ji monastery, the Takenaka Carpentry Museum, the Samurai & Entertainment districts of Kanazawa, and much more - a nice range of art and craft types. At least three of Japan’s top gardens - a huge treat. Please understand that changes can happen due to unforeseen circumstances.

Cost & Registration
